The Bear den is for children who are in third grade.
To earn the Bear badge, a Cub Scout must complete six required adventures and one elective adventure that are more challenging than those for the Wolf badge. His parent or guardian and den leader approves each requirement by signing his book, and the boy receives an adventure loop for each adventure. When a Cub Scout has met all requirements, the Bear badge is awarded at the annual Blue & Gold Banquet or a pack meeting.
